Pokémon Black Version 2 is a role-playing video game releases for the Nintendo DS in 2012. It is the direct sequel to the 2010 game Pokémon Black and marks the first time in the core series that a storyline continues directly between titled entries.

• Timeframe: The game is set two years after the events of the original Pokémon Black and White.
• Location: Players return to a transformed Unova region, starting their journey in the new Aspertia City rather than Nuvema Town.
• Conflict: A new faction of Team Plasma has emerged (Neo Team Plasma), and players must thwart their plot to take over the region using the power of the legendary Pokémon Kyurem.

New Features and Gameplay

• Expanded Pokédex: For the first time in Unova, Pokémon from other regions (like Eevee, Riolu, and Arcanine) are available from the start, with over 300 unique Pokémon in the regional Pokédex.
• New Legendary Forms: The game features Black Kyurem (exclusive to Black 2) and White Kyurem, along with new "Therian Formes" for Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus.
• PokéStar Studios: A new side-game where players participate in filming movies with their Pokémon.
• Pokémon World Tournament (PWT): Allows players to battle iconic Gym Leaders and Champions from previous regions like Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh.
• Join Avenue: A customizable shopping mall that grows as you connect with other players.
• Difficulty Modes: The game introduces the Key System, which can unlock Easy or Challenge Modes after completing the main story.
